Pause: Before you lose hope...
I turned on the tap a bit at first, NO WATER! I opened it up more, yet no water. I turned it on to the last point and surprisingly, NO WATER.
WHAT! “This Monday morning! What was I going to do”? I needed water seriously.
“Water no dey” Mr Ibom said,
Ahh! “E don happen, how do I get water now” I said in my heart.
“That one mean say na later in the day them go bring am come” I asked him even though I knew the answer. I got an emphatic YES!
I dejectedly walked back to my office with the assumption that there was no water anywhere in the whole yard which automatically meant that I would have to wait for nothing less than five(5) hours before getting water.
30 minutes later...
I left everything I was doing, picked up my container and dashed out of my office, with a determination to check other taps that supplied water in the compound. Walking briskly towards the direction I was headed, I took a quick glance at the ground below the tap I visited earlier on, there was still no sign of water, I continued towards the next building.
Turning the tap head, against all conceivable doubts, water came rushing out with a familiar sizzling sound and my container was filled in seconds.............................
I felt stupefied to say the least. Why didn’t I explore this option earlier, why did I have to go through 30 needless minutes of mental torture, that would have become 5 hours had I not made a move to explore other options? I knew stuffs like this could happen, but why didn’t I make use of the information earlier? Many question inundated my mind in seconds.
Do you know that some of us have gone through some stressful encounters and painful moments that shouldn’t have been, while others missed opportunities of a life time, and yet others are about to miss a life changing opportunity, all because they didn’t just take out time to explore all the options available to them?
This is for someone who currently thinks that he/she has done what is within his/her power to get something done and it is not working out. Be it a job search, contract bid, academic pursuit, proposal submission, meeting with a client/prospect, closing a business deal...just name it, whatever yours might be, I just want to ask you.
Have you explored ALL the options available?
Do not give up yet. I know you might have encountered the brick wall in your many trials, but I still believe that there is still another option that will work. Pick yourself up, pray and believe God for direction, and give it another shot. I leave you with the words of the Master himself...
"And so I tell you, KEEP ON asking, and you will receive what you ask for. KEEP ON seeking, and you will find. KEEP ON knocking, and the door will be opened to you.” Matthew 7:7 (NLT).
PEACE.
NB: We are still on our series "DEALING WITH DEBT". Take time to go through them and you will surely get blessed.
